Bringing the harvest date forward without sacrificing fruit quality is one of the great challenges for grape growers. A trial in Krissy table grapes shows that Brixtoner Vital not only makes this possible, but also significantly improves soluble solids content and color uniformity across the bunches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results are clear: sweeter fruit, more uniform in color and harvested earlier. Three competitive advantages in a single solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trial: methodology and context<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The trial evaluated the effect of three applications of Brixtoner Vital on color development, soluble solids content and harvest earliness in Krissy table grapes. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used, monitoring 25 bunches per treatment from the first application to the first harvest pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The control treatment followed standard management without a biostimulant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
72%<\/strong> of bunches at full color vs. 44% control<\/td>
+7.1%<\/strong> more \u00baBrix than the control<\/td>
76.3%<\/strong> harvested in the 1st pass vs. 69.4%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Results: three measurable improvements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
1. Faster, more uniform color development<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
At harvest date, 72% of treated bunches<\/strong> had reached “full color”, compared with only 44% of the control<\/strong> \u2014 a statistically significant difference (Pearson\u2019s chi-square, p<0.05).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coverage of the full fruit load was 95.5%<\/strong> with Brixtoner Vital versus 86.1% in the control<\/strong> \u2014 almost 10 percentage points, statistically significant (ANOVA, p<0.05).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Earlier, more efficient harvest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
In the first pass, 76.3% of treated bunches<\/strong> were picked versus 69.4% of the control<\/strong>. That 6.9-point difference means fewer picking days, lower operating costs and an earlier market window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Treated bunches recorded 21.05 \u00baBrix<\/strong> versus 19.65 \u00baBrix in the control<\/strong> \u2014 a statistically significant +7.1%<\/strong> (ANOVA, p<0.05). Higher \u00baBrix means greater sweetness perceived by consumers and higher commercial value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brixtoner Vital brought the harvest forward, improved color uniformity and increased fruit sweetness by 7.1%. Three key quality and profitability indicators improved in a single cycle.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n
