Within the Environmental Guidelines, the national strategy, programs and operational funds of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food advocate a reduction of fertilizer units in the soil. The Ministry’s focus is on reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers, both for environmental reasons, such as soil contamination, and for other considerations, such as production costs.<\/p>\n\n
This is where Plant Power is configured as a new tool for the grower. In horticultural crops to be applied via root and foliar application in trees.<\/p>\n\n
“In several trials, we have succeeded in lowering N by 50%, P by about 40% and K by about 35%, all without adding chlorides to the soil (they form salts!). Plant Power technology is based on reducing the supply of inorganic NPKs, but at the same time producing 15-20% more, thanks to its specific formulation that retains nutrients and supplies them optimally to the crop”, says Fernando Castilla, development director of Vellsam.<\/p>\n\n
